A marvelous opportunity has arisen for a talented consultant in the acoustics sector. My client a global engineering management and development consultancy. Who are currently involved in some of the most interesting projects around the world. Require a suitably qualified and experienced principle Acoustic Engineer to join their special services team based in Croydon.
Salary up to £55,000

Qualification – Degree/MSc Acoustic and Noise Control/Audio Acoustics/Audio and Sound Technology
Experience:

Substantial Acoustics experience.
Member of Institute of Acoustics or knowledge and experience of noise and vibration consultancy.
Proven technical ability in terms of problem solving and analytical thinking
Ability to manage time, resources and projects effectively

Duties:

The focus of the work is on transportation projects, although collaboration with other related disciplines such as building and infrastructure and energy frequently takes place.
Typical projects include large scale noise mapping, transportation related noise assessments, noise impact assessments for planning applications and noise assessments for EIAs. For candidates with appropriate experience, there is also the opportunity to be involved with building acoustics related projects.

Typical projects

Working as a Team on a variety of small and major projects, working in close association with other engineering and environmental disciplines.

-Qualification- BSc / MSc in a relevant discipline
- Protected species licence(s)
- Full clean driving licence
- Membership of an appropriate professional body (IEMA)
-Experience- Previous working experience in the environmental field, knowledge and understanding of the EIA process.

Duties Include:
- Planning and undertaking EIA assessments
- Project management
- Collecting environmental data
- Undertaking / assisting on ecology surveys and projects

Typical Projects
Joining this friendly and professional team based in Manchester, the successful candidate will be largely involved with EIA and SEA projects for clients in the water and industry sectors.
The role will involve planning and undertaking EIA and SEA assessments, providing support to the Principal consultant in all areas of project management as required. There will also be involvement in ecology surveys and projects, for example species scoping surveys and protected species mitigation.
The consultancy seek enthusiastic individuals seeking to pursue an environmental consultancy career, and offer further training and support to unlock your full potential.
You will be expected to produce written reports to a high standard, and effectively liaise with clients to provide specialist environmental advice and to build lasting client relationships.
