We are currently looking for a Senior Utilities Engineer to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Wiltshire area.

Main Objective:
In conjunction with the Engineering Manager provide the management, oversight and co-ordination of all Maintenance/Engineering activities to the Zydis facility.
Provide front line management and supervision to the Facility Technician.
Assist the Engineering Manager and Engineering Support Group Manager to ensure adequate maintenance resource and support to Manufacturing.
Ensure full compliance of maintenance engineering to Maintenance Strategy.
Co-ordinate and Manage Continuous Improvement initiatives and in conjunction with the Engineering Manager, identify and implement key projects solutions, both budgetary and capital expenditure.

Responsibilities:
Co-ordination, budgeting, scheduling, planning and implementation off all maintenance program in a safe and effective manner.
Operate and maintain a wide range of equipment using own multi-skilled based experience and knowledge.
Recognise and design out faults that will transcend disciplines in equipment, without compromising safety, play a leading role in preventing repetitive faults. Continue on a day to day basis to use own core and subsidiary skills.
Make considerable use of the computerised maintenance system for both own work and that of the Engineering Team.
In conjunction with the Engineering Manager, develop analytical and problem solving skills leading to an ability to diagnose why a problem has arisen and how it can be avoided in the future.
Report technical and equipment problems by exception to the Engineering Manager or peer group with associated recommended solutions and alternatives.
Liase with appropriate teams to ensure all new equipment, modifications and continuous improvements are managed correctly and to the requirement of both Engineering and manufacturing, recommend improvements if required.
For all new equipment, major modifications and continuous improvements attend project meetings and provide input.
For all new equipment, major modifications and continuous improvements approve Project Brief’s. URS’s; FAT’s and relevant protocols.
Ensure training deficiencies are highlighted and implement a programme to resolve.
When required deputise for the Engineering Manager or Engineering Support Manager.
Discuss issues and take actions with agreed suppliers and contractors.
Make contributions to the formulation of the departmental budget and will have authority to sign for expenditure.
In Conjunction with the Engineering Manager, development of the Capital Expenditure Budget – Management and execution of the Capital Expenditure.
In conjunction with the Engineering Stores Buyer assist in process improvements, technical directory and control of budget.
Work in conjunction with the Engineering Manager to achieve objectives.
Analyse production and engineering methods/equipment and procedures and recommend improvements in their efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.
Communicate effectively across all levels of production and engineering in highlighting/resolving technical/process issues.
Lead production and engineering project teams on Continuous Improvement initiatives (CI).
Be an active member on capital projects as well as other CI initiatives within production and engineering.
Using production KPI’s investigate on going production/engineering issues to advise and develop solutions to remedy and improve.
Using KPI’s analyse and recommend cost savings to the business.

Other duties within this role will include:
-Gaining full compliance and accreditation to ISO 13485 standards within the manufacturing department
-Building an effective and motivated quality team within process control, inspection and quality assurance engineering

-Reviewing the structure and function of current quality management systems and proposing improvements to address training and continuous development

This rapidly expanding organisation specialises in developing, manufacturing and supplying fertility diagnostic products for the healthcare market. Although this company has not been established for long, they have already become a market leader within the medical device sector and are looking for a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join the team in Bedfordshire.

As the Regulatory Affairs Specialist you will be responsible for providing regulatory support for the international distribution of the Diagnostic products.

Duties within this role will include:
-Processing regulatory enquiries from distribution companies and providing responses as required, including the acquisition of Certificates of Free Sale, and other legalised documents as required
-Preparing and maintaining marketing authorisation applications on a worldwide basis
-Maintaining the notifications to the EU Competent Authorities for CE marked products under (98/79/EC) and (93/42/EC) medical device directive
-Making and maintaining the required establishment registration and list applications to US FDA
-Reviewing all associated documentation

The suitable candidate will ideally be educated to a Degree level (or equivalent) within a Chemical/Biological discipline and have relevant experience of working within a Regulatory Affairs or Quality Assurance position within a medical device organisation. A strong understanding of ISO 13485, GMP and FDA standards is essential for this role.
