Medical Writer – Medical Communications – West Sussex

As a Medical Writer you will be involved in writing up conferences and advisory boards, working with researchers on primary research publications, commissioning and editing material for publications and write articles for in house journals. .

In order to be considered for this role you will ideally have a strong science background with a life science degree. Experience within a Medical Communications Agency is not essential however candidates with experience in the pharmaceutical and publishing sector will have a clear advantage. You will also be a team player and have good communication skills.

Postdoctoral Researcher – Liverpool

School of Biomedical Sciences

Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics

This is an MRC funded project that is focussed on understanding the role of SLCO transporters in variability of exposure to antiretroviral protease inhibitors. You will work alongside other members of the Liverpool HIV Pharmacology Group. The research will involve high throughput genotyping using sequenom and various other in-vitromethodologies including cloning, transfection, gene expression quantification and cell culture (including Xenopus laevis oocytes).

You should have a PhD in a biomedical or biological science together with experience of relevant techniques and a thorough knowledge of the mechanisms that underpin variability in pharmacokinetics. The post is available for 3 years.
