Institute for Climate and Atmospheric Science
      Lecturer in Dynamical Meteorology

The Institute for Climate and Atmospheric Science (ICAS) wishes to develop its research profile. You will join an enthusiastic and motivated School which aims to achieve the highest standards in its research and teaching. You will have a PhD and a strong record of research in an area of atmospheric dynamics. You should be able to demonstrate the capability to develop your own independent research programme complementary to the existing activities of the Institute for Climate and Atmospheric Science. You should also have a demonstrated ability to publish your research in high quality peer reviewed journals and be able to demonstrate the potential to attract external funding to support your research.

You will be expected to contribute to the School’s teaching programmes in atmospheric and environmental science. The School operates a workload model to guide the allocation of duties: at least 20% of your time will be committed to teaching and related activities.

We are looking for those with expertise in any area of atmospheric dynamics; an ability to enhance or build upon the existing strengths of the Institute will be an advantage.
